The short version. Your journal lives on your phone. No account, ads, or cross-app tracking. Nothing is sent unless you tap an AI feature: readings send the dream you chose; artwork sends only a derived scene description, never your original words. Requests are not stored.
What we collect
On your device (never sent to us)
Everything you write and record is stored in a local database on your phone: dreams, ratings, symbols, tags, sleep context, optional birth date, statistics, and Night Listener audio. It stays there unless you deliberately request one of the AI features described below. Local data is protected by device encryption and, if enabled, a PIN whose salted hash is the only PIN material stored.
When you request an AI interpretation
If — and only if — you tap to request a reading, the app sends the text of that one dream, a short slice of recent dream history for context, your chosen language, and the moon phase for that date to our server at getdreamgate.com. Our server forwards it to Google Vertex AI, receives the interpretation, and returns it to your phone. We do not write the dream text to a database and we do not keep it after the response is sent. Google processes it as a service provider under their enterprise terms and does not use it to train models. Your name, email, device identifier and location are never included.
When you create dream artwork
If — and only if — you tap Paint, Dreamgate derives a compact visual scene description on your phone. That description can include visual details such as setting, light, mood, people, animals, and named breeds. Your original dream text is never sent for artwork. The scene description goes through our server to Google’s image-generation service; it is used to return the picture and is not written to our database. Your name, email, device identifier, location, and recent journal history are not included.
The waitlist (closed)
Dreamgate launched in August 2026, so the waitlist is closed and the form has been removed. We no longer collect email addresses through this website at all. Addresses submitted before launch reached us as notification emails and were never written to a database; if you sent us one and would like it erased from our mail, write to support@pulseai.systems.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours records the IP address and timestamp of requests for a short period so we can rate-limit abuse and keep the service up. These logs are not linked to dream content and are not used to build a profile of you.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
- We do not show advertising, and we do not embed advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not require an account, so we do not hold a directory of who our users are.
- We do not read, review or moderate the contents of your journal — we cannot; we do not have it.
Microphone and Night Listener
Night Listener is off by default and must be switched on deliberately. When active, it monitors sound level while your phone is charging beside you and saves only short clips that cross the loudness threshold you set; silence is discarded and never written to disk. Those clips stay on your device, are listed in the app so you can play or delete them individually, and are never uploaded, analysed remotely, or included in an AI interpretation request.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We never see your card number, billing address, or store account. We receive only an anonymous entitlement signal telling the app whether premium is active.
Children
Dreamgate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Some optional content is gated by the age range you select during onboarding.
Your rights
Because your journal data lives on your device, you exercise most rights directly: export it from Settings, delete individual entries in the app, or erase all local data by uninstalling Dreamgate or clearing its storage. For service data, use our data deletion page. If you are in the EEA or UK, our lawful basis for AI interpretation is performance of the service you requested. If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date above and note the change in the app’s release notes. We will not start collecting a new category of data without saying so plainly.
